The differences between lend and borrow

How we use " lend" and "borrow"?


borrow - to receive from someone else for a period of time,with permission and with the intention of giving it back.
borrow = take
Can I borrow the car?
You can borrow a pen from him.
I need to borrow some money.
Can I borrow your book?

What happened to the books I borrowed from the library?The past participle is borrowed.


lend - to give to someone else to use for a period of time, with the expectation that s/he will return it.
lend = give
Yes, I'll lend you the car.
Can you lend me your racket?
He'll be happy to lend you a pen.
I can't afford to lend you any money.
The library lent me those books three weeks ago.

This is what I have learn today. 

John has two brothers and a sister.

Question :  How many sibling John has?

Answer:     John has three siblings. ( Three siblings not included John)

In Mandarin : 我们四兄弟姐妹。( Included herself/himself.)

In Malay : Saya ada empat orang adik-beradik. ( means she/ he also one of them- included)

 

Not easy to be a "good" teacher

Teacher is always to be refered as knowledge builder of  our young generation since long time ago. Nowadays there is not easy to be a "good" teacher as what we are expected by our parent today. Knowledge is easily to acquired from internet and people like to "google" or "wiki" on what they wish to know in term of knowledge. So the question is "What are the key role and responsibility of our teachers on this technology leading edge nowaday?"

I believe that teacher should not be equiped with so called knowledge builder only but to be morality builder to our next generation. We are human beings and we human still need to have emotional touch and encouragement to each other.

Lets to be a good teacher but not limit to what you have on knowledge but also wisdom to apply and make this world a better place
